Day 18

Friday, October 13, 2006

We are waking to 45 degrees and the promise of another beautiful day. Today we head for home to wrap up another wonderful vacation.

Columbia River
It was a beautiful morning as we left

Yakima Valley
Yakima Valley from Manastash Pass

As we traveled through the Yakima firing range reality of the world situation set in.

Caravan
God Bless Our Troops

There has been a lot of activity in the area training more troops for the ongoing war.

The trip through the mountains was refreshing with all the pine trees and fresh air. That is until we got around Cabin Creek where there was a forest fire ragging.

It was really smoky and we had to turn the headlights on.

Once we got through that is was smooth sailing the rest of the way home. We arrived at our humble abode around 3:00 in the afternoon.

Home
Back home in Kirkland

It was great to be home but home with a ton of wonderful memories.
