Day 18
Friday, October 13, 2006
We are waking to 45 degrees and the promise of another beautiful day. Today we head for home to wrap up another wonderful vacation.
It was a beautiful morning as we left
Yakima Valley from Manastash Pass
As we traveled through the Yakima firing range reality of the world situation set in.
God Bless Our Troops
There has been a lot of activity in the area training more troops for the ongoing war.
The trip through the mountains was refreshing with all the pine trees and fresh air. That is until we got around Cabin Creek where there was a forest fire ragging.
Cabin Creek Fire
It was really smoky and we had to turn the headlights on.
Once we got through that is was smooth sailing the rest of the way home. We arrived at our humble abode around 3:00 in the afternoon.
Back home in Kirkland
It was great to be home but home with a ton of wonderful memories.
We hope you enjoyed this travelogue and will join us for the next adventure. If you have taken a trip and would like to post a travelogue about it on our web site just drop us a line at kennyb at runnerduck.com and we'd be happy to post it for you.
