  • 1 Cup Yellow Cornmeal
  • 1 Lb. Ground Beef
  • 1 Medium Onion, Chopped
  • 1/2 Cup Green Pepper, Chopped
  • 1 Envelope Spaghetti Sauce Mix
  • 1 Tablespoon Chili Powder
  • 1 Can Tomatoes
  • 1 Can Ripe Olives
  • 1 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Cook Cornmeal as directed on the package.
Pour half into 8 cup shallow baking dish and spread evenly.
Pour the rest into a greased dish 9" x 5" x 3" and chill
Brown Hamburger, add Onions and Green Peppers and saute. Drain off grease if you want.
Stir in Sauce Mix, Chili Powder and Tomatoes and bring to a boil. Remove from heat.
Stir in Olives and 3/4 Cup Cheese.
Pour over the Cornmeal in the 8" baking dish.
Remove the Cornmeal from the chilled dish and cut into 12 wedges.
Arrange wedges on top of baking dish and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
Bake at 400F for 1 hour.
I like to top this with sour cream when I serve it but that's up to you, enjoy!
