Here is a Thanksgiving favorite with a twist.

  • 1 Can Mushroom Soup
  • 1 1/2 Cups Fresh Mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 Yellow Onion, chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter
  • 1 Large Head (4 cups) Broccoli
  • 1 Cup Swiss Cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 Can (mushroom can) Milk
  • 1 Can French Fried Onion Rings
Saute sliced Mushrooms and Onions in Butter.
Put the Broccoli into an 9" X 11" greased baking dish.
Pour the Saute mix over it.
Spread the Swiss Cheese all over it.
Mix the Mushroom Soup and Milk and pour all over it.
Crumble the French Fried Onions all over the top.
Bake at 325 degrees F for about 45 minutes.
Serves 8 - 10.

This is a nice break from the ol' green bean casserole. I think your guests will like it for a change.
