MOCK DONUTS

This is a really old family recipe from Marilyn's side. It probably goes back three generations. The thing to remember about this recipe is eat them while they are fresh and hot.

  • 5 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 1/2 Cups Flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1/2 Cup Milk
Mix all the ingredients together.
Grease muffin tins and fill half full with the mix.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 to 25 minutes.

Melt 6 Tablespoons of Butter.
Mix 1/2 Cup Sugar and 1 teaspoon Cinnamon.Remove and roll quickly in the melted butter.
Roll in sugar and Cinnamon mix.

Very Important!! Serve fresh and warm.

We hope you enjoy this old family recipe.
