BEER AND CHEESE FONDUE

With the Super Bowl coming up it's time to start thinking about what you are going to serve at that party. This great dipping recipe from Jan R. will fit the ticket just right.

  • 1/8 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 1/4 Cups Beer (drink the rest)
  • 3 Cups Swiss Cheese, shredded
  • 1 1/2 Cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese,shredded.
  • 2 Tablespoons Flour
  • Dash Hot Pepper Sauce
  • 4 Bagels
Pour the Beer into the sauce pan and bring to a simmer.
Mix one Tablespoon of flour into each of the cheeses.
Slowly add the cheeses to the Beer while constantly stirring.
Let the mixture thicken but do not boil.
Add a dash of Hot Pepper Sauce and stir.
Pour into a Fondue pot and warm.
Cut the Bagels into pieces and dip into the sauce.
For an added punch dip a piece of Bagel in Kirsh and then in the sauce.
If the sauce becomes too thick you can add some warmed beer to thin.

Have fun at your party!
