BAKED CHEESE BITES

      This is the last in our series of Thanksgiving Hors D'Oeuvres. We hope you've enjoyed them all and your friends will enjoy them also.

  • 1/2 Cup Butter
  • 1 Cup cubed Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • Dash of Cayenne Pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon Dry Mustard
  • 2 Egg Whites
  • 1 Loaf of Unsliced Bread

Melt the Butter and Cheddar Cheese in a double boiler.
Stir in Cayenne Pepper, Salt and Mustard.
Stiffly beat the Egg Whites.
Blend with the Cheese mixture.
Remove the crust from the bread loaf and cut into 1" cubes.
Dip each cube into the Cheese Mixture.
Place on a buttered cookie sheet.
Refrigerate over night. They can be frozen for 2 - 3 days.
Bake at 375 degrees F. for 10 minutes.

Serve them to your family and friends.
